Yeah you are right, it lacked those vintage cardboard boxes.

Uncharted and Witcher are apples and oranges.  The Witcher is a deep, detailed RPG with multiple systems, tons of lore and a saga of a main story.

Uncharted is a popcorn movie where you live out your fantasy of being Indiana Jones.

I love Uncharted but I could easily never play another one of those and be fine with it.  I'll be upset if we never get a Witcher 4.

I'll follow The Witcher to any console. I'd take it even over my beloved Uncharted.

I think that's true, but like it says, by the time it happens it might be time for a new generation.

I don't think it really matters though, there's like a 10% difference between consoles now.  The only major difference is if you really want a console exclusive but I'm at the point where I can live without a game.  The only thing that might make me buy a console is a new Elder Scrolls or Witcher that's console-exclusive.

"This has been a slow, painful process for Microsoft to get to this point, but we are starting to see real results. The Xbox One X is a great system and where I’m automatically playing most third party titles now. Xbox One backward capability is the best in the business, as is Xbox Live and its features. If they can get that third pillar up, must-have games, they could very well out-Sony Sony, though it may be a while until we see this final phase realized."

I've heard good things too, but I'm reallllly hit or miss on Japanese games.  I feel like critics like most of them and I dislike 75% of them, even the critically-acclaimed ones.

Nier, Evil Within, anything made by Suda51, Metal Gear, etc. -- I've tried so many and I just can't get into any of them.

Well I don't think Spiderman is coop and also in the multiplayer I believe Crackdown has destructible environments, So I suppose Crackdown offers that.

Especially since I imagine Spider-Man is going to have the same sense of superhero open-world exploration, only with a known IP, tight controls and a much cooler vibe.  Crackdown 3 has its work cut out for it in 2018.

It was really the first open world coop super hero game. I think it was fun at the time but like you guys said, some of it may feel kinda archaic now.

No, I recall the same thing.  I feel like it was remembered more fondly than the reality of it is.  I think it was the first game where there were collectibles that affected your abilities, including ones you could only get after you got a certain number of collectibles first (sorta like a Metroidvania game in that respect), so everyone really liked that.

Since those days that's not exactly enough to sell a game.

Am I the only one that remembers Crackdown being boring as hell once you maxed out? It became an empty world after a while. I hope that technology allows them to move past that, but if they try to follow the usual formula, it could not do so well. It's a long-dead franchise that hasn't exactly been on everyone's lips since the sequel came and went.

State of Decay 2 looks pretty cool.  They need to do away with the idea that your characters can die while you're not playing the game.

There's been a few games that have come out that have been ruined by one too many tacked-on systems, like the need for food and water in a non-survival game, or a cooking mechanic to make potions, or breakable weapons, or something else like that.

Everything I have heard about Sea of Thieves has been great, friends have been in the betas and loved it. Granted it will be a coop multiplayer/pvp anyways.

I have high hopes for State of Decay 2 with coop.

Crackdown 3 I think will be a failure.

MS might be in trouble if Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2 aren't great.  All of them have been delayed already, and if they aren't all that good then I don't see a Fable remaster as a reason to own an Xbox.

“In areas where left-wing opinions contradict scientific evidence, there’s an unfortunate tendency to suggest that such scientific research is morally problematic. This speaks to a common trope on the left: their views aren’t simply accurate, but moral. Though those on the left are quick to point to right-wing scientific illiteracy, they’re often steadfast in their refusal to recognize their own dogma.”

I don't disagree, but what's an example of a far-left belief that is contradicted by scientific evidence?  I thought the left was almost purely science-based, evidence-based philosophies.

There’s three samples in the article, with the lead example being that new evidence suggests depression isn’t caused by chemical imbalances in the brain.

Ah, I posted that before I read the article.  I'm surprised at some of the things "the left" allegedly thinks.  Who thinks everyone is born with the same abilities and don't think genetics play a role in things?  That's crazy.

Also:

Some other antiscientific views are surprisingly politically bipartisan. Skepticism about the value of vaccines and the belief that genetically modified foods are harmful—both views strongly rejected by scientists—are equally common across the political spectrum.

I really don't get the fear of vaccines or GMO foods.

Correct we got billed almost $1 million but we had to pay 20% after insurance paid 80%. This also doesn't include all the premium formula we had to get, he was lactose intolerant and also pay for First Steps which is like physical therapy for kids for about 2 years.

Wow, Spidey. That's nuts. You think 80/20 is a bearable burden until you climb into that number bracket. I'm blown away.

Now I'm terrified.  Although I swear there's both an individual and family out-of-pocket max per year.

You can max out, what we did but we still had to pay 20%. When we maxed out we had no copay's or paying for medicine but any hospital bills or visits, still get billed that 20% even if maxed out.

Count me among the people who think the Labo will sell really well, even if it's real dumb.  It's definitely for kids, but I can see people going for it.
